Patio Dining

At New Leaf

A short walk from The Cloisters, a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New Leaf is proud to be a part of the landscape of beautiful Fort Tryon Park. Surrounded by historic trees, lively gardens, and serene walkways, the 1930’s cottage and outdoor patio offer a truly unique experience. Whether you are joining for lunch or dinner in the intimate dining room, weekend brunch on the garden patio, or signature cocktails in the bar and tavern room, the tranquil setting may lead you to forget you’re still in Manhattan.

New York Restoration Project

In 2001, New Leaf – formerly a New York City Department of Parks & Recreation concession – was re-imagined by Bette Midler’s New York Restoration Project (NYRP), a non-profit organization dedicated to reclaiming and restoring New York City’s parks, community gardens and open space. Since its opening, Midler and NYRP have transformed the restaurant into a groundbreaking venture, from which all net proceeds support the organization’s cleaning and greening efforts – making a dining experience at New Leaf charitable and environmentally responsible!
